What is VSM?
It’s the youth ministry at Dominion Church. We are a group of students
(6th – 12th grade) . We are trying to live our lives for Jesus.
What does VSM Stand for?
Vertical Student Ministries. Thanks for asking.
When does VSM Meet?
Our youth service happens on Wed. Nights at 7:30pm. We also have life groups (Highschool & Jr High ) at 10am on Sunday Morning... and we are a part of the Sunday Worship at Dominion Church at 11:00am.
Where do you meet?
At Dominion Church, 401 Landing Blvd; League City TX, 77573
What can I expect on a Wed. Night?
You can expect to hang out for 1 hour… there’s usually about 10 minutes of games, 20 minutes of Worship 10 minutes of “stuff’ and a 20 minute talk, usually done by Pastor Clint.
Why do you call your youth service TWENTYSIXFORTY?
We came across a statistic that said 44 people die without knowing Christ every minute. That means within our youth service… 2,640 people die and slip into eternity without making Christ their Lord… our mission and reason for our service is to lower that number – SO HOPEFULLY WE HAVE TO CHANGE THE NAME… AND WE WANT TO BE A PART OF MAKING THAT HAPPEN.
Do you have to go to Dominion Church to attend our youth service?
No, good question though. We do encourage our students to attend Sunday Morning services if they don’t already go somewhere else. Invite your parents too!
How can I get involved with a ministry within VSM?
Glad you asked. Find one of our leaders and let them know you want to get involved. They will be so fired up to get you in the right place. Media? Band? Sing? Fine Arts? Pit Crew? Greeter? Heck… if you cook – you can start a ministry of cooking for the youth pastor. Especially if you can cook General Tso Chicken
Who leads this ministry?
The youth ministry is led by Clint deGroot... the guy who's on staff at the church. In reality... there is a team of leaders that lead these students. click here to find out more about the staff
